Hawaiian Koa Wood Inlay Wedding Rings

The Koa tree is truly the king of the Hawaiian woods and is deeply rooted in the Hawaiian Islands and its culture. From the ancient Hawaiian outrigger canoes to the first surfboards, Koa is at the heart of the Hawaiian culture. Because of its amazing beauty, it adorns the palace walls and is one of the most expensive woods on the planet.

Nearly all of our couples already have their own wedding rings, but having a set of Hawaiian Koa rings from your ceremony in Hawaii is truly unique. Often used as supplementary wedding bands or travel rings, these one-of-a-kind pieces not only remind couples of the vows they made to each other, but also of the strength of their love. Koa literally means "warrior" in the Hawaiian language and has come to symbolize strength, fearlessness, and the warrior spirit - all attributes that make for a strong, solid marriage.

Tungsten is the foundation of the rings because it is the most durable and hardest material available. Tungsten is so hard that only a diamond is harder. This means unlike titanium, silver, platinum, and gold, it won't scratch over time and will retain its shine. The koa is coated in durable resin that encapsulates and protects the wood from the elements.

Standard curly Koa does not make the cut; only a private selection of handpicked curly Koa is used. Only the tightest, and therefore most rare and expensive, curly Koa will undulate in the light, which makes the wood look like it's moving.

The result is truly amazing in the depth of the wood and color. Pictures can't do it justice.

Koa Warrior Collection

We inlay our private selection of only the most beautiful curly Koa...that's the Koa that looks like tiger stripes. We weren't satisfied with standard curly Koa, so we only used the most amazing 5% of curly Koa for the rings. The result is truly amazing in the depth of the wood and color.

Traditional Wedding Rings

For couples shopping locally, there are several options throughout Hawaii for traditional wedding rings. Hawaii is home to major jewelry brands as well as independent sellers.

Oahu has the most options, with Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island offering significantly fewer options.

Pure Diamond - For couples shopping online, we have had a pleasure dealing with Pure Diamond and would like to recommend them for consideration. We've experienced great prices and great service. We think they're worth considering for couples shopping for that perfect ring.
