Our wedding day couldn't have been more perfect. The Affordable Weddings of Hawaii team worked seamlessly to make our day even more memorable. They were personable and immediate to assist our every need. In the numerous photos that were captured, not one photo was flawed. Our visit to Makapu'u Beach may have been brief, but it will forever be captured in our photo album, ceremonial DVD, and hearts. Reverend Karen Ross was especially wonderful. Her articulate, heartwarming service (pass the Kleenex please) made our union that more emotionally bounding. Thank you to everyone that was involved; you know who you are. You don't realize how much you effect others lives. Thank you for being a part of ours. We hope to see you again one day when we revisit...maybe for the renewal of our vows!

Today my daughter Barbara came to visit and brought along the dvd of the Wedding. It was so beautifully done it is worthy of Hollywood.
We so enjoyed your team of artists at work on the big day, that it will truely be remembered always. I say artists because everyone involved was the best! My daughters hair and makeup where perfect. There is not one bad photo in all the many shots that where taken. The service itself was very beautiful. The cake was great. And the dvd will keep the memories alive forever. Matthew and I were married on July 5th 2006 at Magic Island, after bridal hair & make-up; a champagne limo; photo-shoot at Kapiolani Park.
Since it is now almost our first year anniversary of wedded bliss that we are about to celebrate, we wanted to write a testimonial to Pastor Karen, Jim, and all who made our wedding day and experience as beautiful as it was - we could not have wished for more! We flew from UK from around the world and throughout the preceding months before our big day, the communication, treatment, care and professionalism was first class. Thank you, and God Bless.

Aloha,
We were married on February 5th, 2004 on Makapuu, Beach. I just wanted to thank you again for the beautiful memories. You gave us the wedding of our dreams and we could not have asked for more. I am so grateful that were we able to have all the photographs of the ceremony at Makapuu Beach and additional photos taken at Kapiolani Park, Diamond Head and the Hale Koa hotel. and video when we got home, they add so much to our reception because everyone got to see our wedding. All of our family and friends have absolutely loved and enjoyed the photographs and the video, they were both breathtaking. Everyone praised how enchanting the ceremony was thanks to Reverend McHenry. Thank you for all of your help with making our wedding special. All of you at Affordable Weddings of Hawaii are so sweet and wonderful and we wish you all the best. Hopefully one day we will make it out and get to visit you again.

Dear Rev. Russ,
We have neglected to write and tell you how much we appreciated the beautiful renewal ceremony you conducted for us on Friday, March 17 at Makapu'u Beach. Jim and I, and our daughter, Hailey, were so moved by your lovely words. We cannot express how much it meant for us to be able to have that special event take place. It certainly helped solidify the bond with have with each other. Given the fact that Jim is away with the Army so much, feeling like our marriage and family has now been "blessed by God" is very important to us. It's really difficult to put into words how special the day was for us. It was more beautiful and perfect than we could have ever wished for -- especially the beautiful sunshine after the rain all week! I know I fell more in love with Jim (if that were possible) while we were renewing our vows to each other -- and to Hailey. She is still talking about "our wedding" and "when we got married." I know in the lonely days ahead while Jim is deployed (again), we will all be able to think back and remember how beautiful that day was.
We are looking forward to finding out about our photographs. We look very forward to seeing them. I hope I haven't been mixed up about what we were supposed to do in this regard.
Again, our most humble thanks and appreciation for your caring attention, lovely words and sharing God's love with us. You are surely an instrument in His hands.

We would really like to commend your company on the superb service we received on our wedding day. The entire experience was pleasant from planning the event, to the actual wedding. The kindness, the class and the attention to detail were beyond what we expected. Although we had a small group, the accommodations were excellent.
The makeup artist and hairstylist did a magnificent job. The limo service and the driver were both pleasant and patient. The location alone was absolutely spectacular; it was truly a heavenly experience. Rev. Hansen did a remarkable job conducting the ceremony; it was if he knew us personally. The photographer and the videographer were both kind and professional and our pictures came out great.
I am sure you do weddings daily, but your staff added a personal touch that made us feel very special. We will always remember our wedding and the touch of class and professionalism you added. You put a different spin on destination weddings.
We feel so blessed that we were able to find you on the Internet. Thank you for making our day more enjoyable not only for us, but also for our families.

Rev Russ, we want to share our greatful appreciation in you, for the marriage of our son Matthew Skillman and Claudia Corona...
It was a great disappointment that their decision didn't include family so we decided with parents disappointment to honor their desire. They have arrived home with such a gorgeous video of the ceremony, pictures, the kindest of words for you, your organization and your caring ways.
Unkown to us but praying their ceremony would be special and perfect was all in God's hands. What you provided them was so much more than we ever expected them to choose. God was truly present in the occasion and we are so thankful they chose you.

We just wanted to thank you for the lovely service you performed when you married us on June 5, 1997 at Diamond Head. The service was very touching and very personal. I know you do a lot of weddings, but you still manage to make each one special. The location was beautiful we could not have asked for a more gorgeous sunset. The photographer you use, Joseph Nolan was also very good. All the pictures came out wonderful. He really knows what he is doing. The poises are great. The limousine ride around Honolulu after the ceremony and the bottle of Champaign. The driver was very nice and made us feel really special.
The whole package was great and affordable. The wedding and honeymoon was everything that we had dreamed it would be and more.

Dear Rev. Russ,
I just wanted to drop a line to say Thank You. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Since we have been home, anytime someone asks “How was it?” my reply is simple... “If I planned it a hundred times over, it couldn’t be any better!”. JJ & I are still walking on clouds. We watch our video weekly and have shown it to our most treasured friends. The still pictures have been enlarged and the one that will hang on our mantle is in the works. I do have to tell you that there is one small problem... no matter where we go, no matter what we do, we cannot find a restaurant as wonderful as Nickolas Nicholas (now Aaron’s). So I guess all in all, everything was wonderful and we definitely want to thank you for giving us this wonderful day. Your service was so thoughtful and caring. You made us feel special, we never felt like just any couple getting married... you made sure that we felt what we believe in our hearts and that is we are one couple that were meant to be together. You showed this through your sincere words and your warm kindness. If you are ever in California, we would love to see you and take you to one of our favorite places for dinner.
